Generally when creating or adding properties to a file, you only have to set it up once, then you just have to enter the appropriate data into the field going forward

• SOLIDWORKS DRAWING→INSERT NOTE→$PRPSHEET:"CUSTOM TEXT TITLE HERE"

  • Note: You may need to type the "custom text etc." then go back and insert the ":" between

• SOLIDWORKS MODEL→CUSTOM PROPERTIES→PROPERTY NAME→TYPE CUSTOM TEXT TITLE HERE (as it appears above)→TYPE = Text,→VALUE (dropdown to the property you're looking to link, ensure Evaluated Value appears as desired)

• Now your DRAWING will contain that text automatically

• Save your PART with the Custom Properties as a template (PRTDOT)
