Most Sketch Entities are inserted by clicking a start point and an end point, 2-LMB Clicks
The white points on the icon indicate how clicking defines the entity
Holding LMB or "Dragging" is poor-practice and not recommended
The number of clicks required and the order to do them are defined by the Sketch Entity Icon
Line Tool is Start Point → End Point
Circle Tool is Center → Radial Point
Corner Rectangle is One Corner → Opposite Corner
NOTE: The cursor shall change depending on what tool you have selected and what the next operation may be
To get out of adding entities:
RMB→Select
or
Esc
Shaded regions are useful in determining what Solid Geometry can be generated from
NOTE: If the region does not appear shaded:
Menu Bar→Tools→Sketch Settings→Shaded Sketch Contours
Selecting (LMB) inside the Shaded Region selects all boundary entities
A typical sketch will contain compound shapes using a variety of entities
Keep It Simple
Many times it's better to break sketches into multple sketches if it's getting too complicated
Single sided lines
Regions within regions
Click sketch that is satisfactory (Bonus: Why aren't the other three?)
