From the open model→Make Drawing from Part
Keep in mind, this will use the Default Template as defined in Options
The "Standard 3-Views" are the Front, Top, and Right view
Sometimes Left and Isometric Views are included as Standard
The Standard 3 Views button will automatically place your views, but may not appear as desired
When Standard Views aren't satisfactory, you may Project Views off of one another
LMB Projected View→LMB Parent View→LMB Placement→Repeat
NOTE: LMB On a view now selects that one as the Parent; your next LMB will Anchor the Child View
Projection is a big deal when generating your 2D Mechanical Drawings and there are two easily confused methods commonly used that will totally change the way your model is interpreted
See the images below for reference:
The projection method is generally indicated with an icon of the conical-cylinder (as seen above) on your 2D Mechanical Drawing Title Block
The following method might be used to remind you:
AMERICA: Pinch your friend's nose and twist them around
EUROPE/CHINA: Lie your friend on a bed and have them roll around
When inserting views, you may insert the Standard Isometric View or Project your "Front View" in case the Standard Isometric View isn't as desired
Hover your cursor over a view until the move cursor appears
LMB→Drag View as needed
Sometimes holding ALT+LMB Drag works better
RMB View→Delete
LMB Scale Dropdown→Select Predefined scales
Alternatively if you’d like a custom scale:
RMB Graphics Area→Properties→Enter values into Scale
By default each view has its scale linked to parent/sheet scale, but may be individually customized
Sometimes you'll encounter situations when your drawing can no longer find the associated Model (This is a result of poor file management)
File→References
Reopen the Drawing→LMB References→DBL LMB Model→Find Model→Open Model→The Model Name will appear Green→Okay
In the Properties of a View, you may change the Display Style
LMB View→LMB Display Style
NOTE: Any Children Views will also change by default
