This is a commonly used tool to create features that are considered "round" or may be manufactured on a lathe
When you spin a Top, there is an imaginary line that goes through its center which the profile is rotated about, this would be considered the Axis
Line - The object will be solid
Centerline - The object may be hollow
Sketch only one-half of the profile
Menu Bar→Insert→Boss/Base→Revolve
LMB The Axis of Revolution in the BlueBox
If the Revolved Feature is Hollow, you'll need to revolve about a Centerline that does NOT intersect the Closed Region
Your sketch does not need both sides, Symmetry (about the axis) is implied
Often times its easier to measure the Diameter of a Feature rather than the Radius
If you have a Construction Line on your sketch, you may use it to measure Diameters instead of Radii by anchoring your Smart Dimension on the opposite side of this Construction Line
If you enter Diametral Measurements, each subsequent Dimension will be assumed to be Diametral
Press ESC to End Diametral Dimensioning and go back to Regular Smart Dimension
Round and/or Revolved features generally have a temporary Axis that can be used for additional features
