Virtual components that have no .SLDPRT associated with then; they are saved within the NHA sldasm
Virtual parts will contain a "^" followed by the NHA assembly filename
Appearances can be applied such that they only exist within the context of the assembly and the component remains unchanged
This appearance will appear as the first selection from the RMB appearance menu

Select components→RMB→Isolate
Unselected components will temporarily be hidden

Component is still active, but cannot be seen

Insert Assembly into Drawing
Insert→Drawing View→Alternate Position View
Select the desired View on the Drawing to contain the Alternate Position
Enter the Assembly environment and freely drag the components to achieve the desired position
Check-it-out and observe the dotted-line version of that view
NOTE: A new configuration has been generated within the Assembly. Mates can distort how this position may exist, so it's often more consistent to have two fully-defined configurations that the Alternate Position view utilizes (instead of creating a new config)
