1. Divide the components between group members

2. Try not to duplicate work, and remember that some components that are of similar design but varying dimensions may be configurable

3. Begin modeling components starting with the easier ones first

1. Try to avoid having too many mates in a single assembly

2. If you have to scroll down, there's too many mates.  Subdivide into smaller sub-assemblies that make sense to you

1. Compile all of the sub-assemblies into a sensible Top Level Assembly (TLA)

1. Create an exploded view configuration

1. Add necessary views

2. No detail dimensions required, but bounding dimensions are often beneficial (overall size)

Submission shall contain the following:

• A zip folder with the letters, "PROJ" in the filename

  • A folder named COMPONENTS

    • All component SLDPRT files 

    • Any drawings that may have created (not required)

      • PDFs of any drawings

  • A folder named ASSEMBLIES

    • All sub-assembly files

    • Any drawings that may have created (not required)

      • PDFs of any drawings

  • A folder named, TOP-LEVEL-ASSEMBLY

    • A single top-level-assembly SLDASM file

    • The SLDDRW for the TLA

      • Two (2) sheets

        • Sheet 1

          • Standard views with overall dimensions

          • Title block shall contain

            • Group name/logo if any

            • All group members in the signoff fields

        • Sheet 2

          • Exploded isometric view 

            • Balloon callouts

          • Bill of Materials (BOM)

            • BOM fields shall all be populated (no empty columns)

      • A PDF of the aforementioned TLA DWG
